Past Events

At Good Neighbor Thrift, we’re proud to host community events that support families, seniors, and sustainability.

In 2024 and 2025, our Halloween Costume Drives provided costumes to local families, helping kids celebrate with confidence and joy. Our 2024 Senior Holiday Gift Drive and 2026 Valentines for Seniors event brought thoughtful gifts and handmade cards to older adults, spreading connection and care throughout the community.

In January 2025, we organized an L.A. Fire Relief Donation Drive, collecting clothing and essentials for families impacted by wildfires. We’ve also hosted creative workshops like our Origami Workshop, giving neighbors of all ages a chance to learn, connect, and create.

Beyond special events, we offer ongoing monthly gatherings:

Monthly Craft Night (The 3rd Saturday) — originally a crochet night, now a craft night to learn a new craft with one of our kits available for purchase, or spend time working on your current project.

Monthly Mending Meetup (Last Sunday at the Vista Library) — focused on upcycling clothing, reducing textile waste, and promoting sustainability.

Through donation drives, volunteer opportunities, and community workshops, Good Neighbor Thrift continues to serve Vista with compassion, creativity, and purpose.
