Our Events
At Good Neighbor Thrift, we love bringing our North County San Diego community together. We host monthly events — from craft nights to clothing mending workshops — where neighbors can connect, learn, and create. We’re always looking for friendly volunteers to join us, and donations are always appreciated to help us keep these events going and continue serving Vista and beyond. Check out our Calendar below.
Community Costume Closet
Our 3rd annual Halloween Costume Drive runs from Monday, September 28th - Wednesday, October 21st.
The FREE community costume shop will be at the Avo Playhouse on Sunday, October 25th, from 12PM - 4PM.
Let’s make Halloween a more sustainable and affordable holiday for ALL families in our community!
Weaving Workshop
San Diego peeps!
Join us for a free, hands-on weaving workshop brought to you by Good Neighbor Vista led by Natasha Khiev.
You’ll be weaving on the Boss Loom from Boom Loom Studio, a beautiful versatile tool that’s just as welcoming to total beginners as it is exciting for seasoned weavers. If you’ve been curious about the Boss but haven’t had the chance to get your hands on one yet, this is the perfect opportunity to try it out.
All materials are provided at the venue. No experience necessary - just come ready to create!
