What We Do

At Good Neighbor, we focus on programs that connect, uplift, and serve the North County community. Our work is grounded in local impact and neighborly care.

Resource Connection

We offer direct support to neighbors in and around our community, through seasonal donation drives and essential needs programs.

  • Shared Craft Supplies – Community members generously donated yarn and supplies for our monthly Crochet Night, ensuring everyone has access to materials, making crafting more inclusive and creating a cycle of giving.

  • LA Fire Relief Drive – In partnership with 10 local businesses, we collected over 2,000 health and hygiene items for fire-impacted families in Alta Dena. These partnerships expanded our reach and helped maximize community impact, showing the power of collaboration in times of need.

  • Donation Drives – Everyday items are collected and redirected to neighbors who need them, reducing landfill waste and supporting community resilience.

Neighborhood Engagement

We create opportunities where community members can connect, create, learn, and lead.

  • Community Crochet & Skill Share Workshops -We invite neighbors to share hobbies, skills and ideas, fostering a strong sense of belonging, accomplishment and pride.

  • Bridging Generations Through Music – This program brings student musicians into assisted living facilities to share live performances, fostering joy, connection, and inclusion for often-isolated seniors.

  • Local Partners in Action

We partner with local businesses to support community needs and highlight their positive impact—building meaningful, mutually beneficial connections.

Sustainability in Action

We’re committed to reducing waste and building a culture of mutual aid—where neighbors share resources, support one another, and care for the planet.

  • Future Thrift Store Vision – A self-sustaining hub where second hand goods will find new life and where shopping supports local programs and reduces environmental impact.

  • FREE Halloween Costume Closet – Each October we collect gently used costumes to be donated to local families, promoting both access and sustainability. Unused costumes are donated to local nonprofits and local schools, extending the impact to even more neighbors.

  • Sustainability Skill Share Workshops - Workshops like our Mending & Embroidery Meetup and our upcoming sustainable gift wrapping class are designed to share easy, practical ways to live more sustainably.
